2012 IDEAS Conference

_The
2012 UCSB IDEAS High School Conference will be the second Conference
hosted by UCSB IDEAS at UC Santa Barbara. It will consist of a series
of workshops for high school students to come together and become
better informed about what it means to be an undocumented student,
immigrant rights, financing your studies, and educational success.
In order to participate, you must fill out the application below by
February 10, 2012

The Conference will take place on February 25, 2012 from 8 AM to 5 PM
Where will the Conference take place?
The Conference will be held at UC Santa Barbara.
My school is not one of the schools listed in the questionnaire. Can I still attend?
Yes! If your high school is not listed on the accompanying questionnaire and you will require transportation, please enter the name of your school and check yes on the transportation question. You are still required to complete an application and turn it in by the application deadline, February 10. We will do our best to accommodate every student who wishes to attend our conference. Please get in contact with us so we are aware of your interest.
I am a Parent. Can I attend the Conference?
As of now we are only able to offer this conference to current high school students. However, once we have an estimate of the number of attendee's and there are still spots open, we might be able to accept parents. We encourage parents to attend the AB540 College Night at Santa Barbara High School on February 23rd, from 6-8 PM, since it will be tailored at parents. We will be hosting a Parent's Conference soon and we will post that information as it comes.
Am I registered for the Conference simply by filling out the questionnaire?
No. The questionnaire is not a form of registration. Registration will be through a paper application which will distributed to the participating schools. If you are not part of one of these schools you may download the application from our website. Applications must be submitted by February 10. A list of representatives for each school can be found below; please talk to your respective representative, as they will be able to provide further details.
